Classification of solid electrolytes
SSE has the same function as traditional liquid electrolyte. They are divided into all solid electrolyte and quasi solid electrolyte (qsse).
All solid electrolytes are also divided into inorganic solid electrolyte (ISE), solid polymer electrolyte (SPE) and composite polymer electrolyte (CPE).
On the other hand, QSSE, also known as gel polymer electrolyte (GPE), is an independent membrane which contains a certain amount of liquid fixed inside the solid matrix.
Generally, the terms SPE and GPE can be used interchangeably, but their ionic conductivity is very different:
SPE conducts ions by interacting with substituents in polymer chains, while GPE conducts ions mainly in solvents or plasticizers.
