1. Standard charging

The method of fully charging sealed NiMH battery is to charge it with nominal constant current (0.1 CA) within a limited time. The timer shall be adjusted to reach 150-160% capacity input (15-16 hours) stop charging to prevent overcharging for a long time. The applicable temperature range of this charging method is 0 to + 45 ℃. The maximum current is 0.1 ca. the overcharge time of the battery at room temperature shall not exceed 1000 hours.

2. Accelerate charging

Another way to fully charge the Ni MH battery in a short time is to charge it with a constant current of 0.3 CA within a limited time. The timer shall be set to terminate charging after 4 hours, and the charging amount at this time is equivalent to 120% of the battery capacity. The applicable temperature range of this charging method is + 10 to + 45 ℃.

3. Fast charging

This method is used to charge V 450 - V 600 HR NiMH batteries in a shorter time with a constant charging current of 0.5 – 1 ca. To stop fast charging, it is not enough to only use the timer control circuit. In order to prolong the service life of the battery, we recommend using DT / dt to control the end of charging. DT / dt control device shall be used when the temperature rise rate is 0.7 ℃ / min.

4. Trickle charging

A large number of applications require the battery to remain fully charged. In order to compensate for the power loss caused by self discharge, it is recommended to use a current of 0.01-0.03 CA for trickle charging. The suitable temperature range for trickle charging is + 10 ℃ to + 35 ℃. Trickle charging can be used for subsequent charging after using the above charging method.
