All batteries with acidic aqueous solution as electrolyte are collectively referred to as acid batteries, of which the most typical is lead-acid batteries.
The main advantages of acid battery are high working voltage, wide operating temperature, good high and low rate discharge performance, rich source of raw materials and low price.
Its disadvantage is that its energy density is low, making it larger in volume and weight.
Acid battery is mainly composed of container, plate and separator.
The container of acid battery is used to store electrolyte and support electrode plate, so it must have the characteristics of preventing acid leakage, corrosion resistance, firmness and high temperature resistance.
According to different materials, there are four commonly used lead-acid battery containers: glass tank, lead lined wood tank, plastic tank and hard rubber tank.
